The fourteenth event for the SITS Trainers Network was hosted as an online event during Friday 7th December 2018 (using Adobe Connect via the University of London ).

The sessions were Chaired/co-presented by members of the STN Committee (Richard Clark and John Crofts) and two presenters – Thomas Undy (Canterbury Christ Church University) and Jason Parry (University of Portsmouth).

Sessions were recorded for play-back (note that recordings started after any setup time).  Links to recordings are provided below.

Delegates used their webcams, microphones, chat windows, whiteboards & polls to interact with each other.

The online event included the following:

Session 1:

  • 10:45 – 11:00  Online Arrival & Setup  
  • 11:00 – 12:15  Discussion: Training Strategies
    • Strategies, approaches and tools used by institutions to deliver SITS/SID training (class-based, eLearning, videos, one-to-one, training support etc). This session included discussions from the point of view of planning training for a new SITS/SID implementation project and also techniques explored & lessons learned by institutions who have previously delivered training programmes for SITS/ID implementation projects.

Session 2:

  • 14:15 – 14:30  Online Arrival & Setup  
  • 14:30 – 15:45  Discussion: Evaluation of Training
    • Techniques used to obtain and analyse feedback from SITS/SID training.
      • Approaches used by institutions.
      • Analysis of feedback.
      • Using feedback to validate and improve training.
