Repurposed Training Materials
One of the aims of the SITS Trainers Network is to offer repurposed/reusable training materials. This avoids ‘reinventing the wheel’ where common features of the SITS:Vision system are used by member institutions.
Listed below are a number of repurposed training materials which are available to all SITS Training professionals. Please do acknowledge the source/author of the materials if you make use of any of the resources provided below.
- Introduction to SITS:Vision Client Server (Dr. Richard Clark, University of London International Programmes)
- Quick Guides (Jeanette Fluellen, University of Winchester)
- Drop records
- Exporting data from a single screen
- Getting help from the SITS application
- Glossary of Terms (Tribal)
- Keeping Personal notes
- Keyboard Shortcuts
- Logging in to SITS
- Opening a bar delimited file in Excel and Text Import Wizard
- Quick Analysis of Data
- Saving Favourite Screens
- Sorting records
- Spell Check
- Using wildcards in record retrieval
- Student Process Training Notes (Briony Hancox, Sheffield Hallam University)
Dear Trainers Network, do we have workstream specific training materials? We are developing Admissions Training Materials now and would like a reference on how this is normally done in other Universities. Thanks.

Dear Ong Ning Jia,
Thanks for you comment. At the moment we are creating collaborative manuals as an ‘Introduction to SITS:Vision Client Server’ and these manuals will be posted here in the near future (Volume 1 is almost complete, Volume 2 is in progress). We haven’t started collaborative manuals for workstreams such as Admissions as yet but many of our members have training materials which I’m sure they’d be willing to share.
Best regards, Richard Clark (Chair: SITS Trainers Network)
